Economic affairs
The Embassy of Switzerland monitors developments and changes in the policies and regulations governing Thailand's, Cambodia's and Lao PDR's economic and financial markets. By maintaining regular dialogues with authorities, the Embassy works towards strengthening the economic ties between Switzerland and these three countries.
Economic relations between Switzerland and Thailand
The Political and Economic section of the Embassy also handles trade requests by providing available information about Thai agencies, economic figures, events etc. The Embassy contributes to promote Swiss exports. It also represents Switzerland Tourism which aims at fostering tourism in Switzerland.
The Embassy works closely with the Swiss Thai Chamber of Commerce, which gathers more than 160 corporate members and provides them support in terms of trade and investment.
